Inflatable Kayaks

Inflatable Kayaks

A few years ago I saw a sale offer for this green Intex K1 Kayak. I was skeptic about using an inflatable kayak, but it was only around $90. I figured that it would be worth to give it a try, and it wouldn’t be a big loss if it fails.
Initially I stayed close to the shore, in case it deflates.
Very quickly I gained confidence in it, and ventured further away easily going on 4-6km paddles.

It stayed most of the summer in my car, and was used very often. A few summers later, when we decided to take a trip down the Saugeen River – with low water levels, rapids, and rocks – I decided to upgrade to a more rugged kayak, the Sea Eagle.

RazorLite Kayak

In Sep 2020 I upgraded again, this time to a faster High-pressure Drop stitch Kayak, a Sea Eagle Razor Lite. The walls and bottom have a lot more stiffness to it, and therefore the kayak reacts more like a hard shell kayak, and allows to glide faster in the water.
I really enjoyed paddling it, and I am looking forward to use it next summer again.
