Snow Shoeing

Walking in the Soft White Snow

What I like about Snow Shoeing, is that anyone who is able to walk can do it. It provides the opportunity to stay active in winter as well, and at the same time I feel safer, because the metal cramps on the bottom provide a good grip going up or down any hills.

Although you could spend a lot of money for high end Snowshoes, that is not necessary, budget or used Snowshoes work just as well. I like to use adjustable poles, which give me more stability stepping over tree stems, or maneuvering a slope.

Dressing in layers helps to adjust to handle cold temperatures, and can be taken off, when one gets hot after walking for a while. Water-resistant pants and jacket would be helpful, but anything else will work, too.
