Bicycle riding has been a vehicle of transportation and Leisure for me. As far as I can remember I rode a bicycle. First as a passenger – when I was a toddler – and soon after, making room for my younger sister, I manged my own bike. Going regularly on Bike trips with my family. Like making the 4km trip through the woods to go swimming at the Sch\u00f6nbornsche Kiesgrube (a Gravel pit – which was turned into a Recreational area – and later named “See am Goldberg” and is now a Nature Reserve ).<\/p>\n\n

All my life I have been riding bicycles until a few years ago, when I injured my knee, and experienced a lot of problems after. Going on longer rides was not an option any more, because I wasn’t sure if I would be able to make it back home.<\/p>\n\n

That changed in 2018, when I purchased an Electric Bicycle. I love riding my E-Bike – I get exercise, can go on long trips and don’t have to be concerned about not being able to get back. As a side effect, it strengthens my muscles around the knee, and I can appreciate the freedom again, to enjoy nature, and get the opportunity to snap photos.
